104 Credit pathways (RPL) The cost of your course is listed on the Course Information Leaflet. Some courses may have additional charges which help cover the cost of practical sessions, consumables, basic tools, or distance learning resources and services related to your study. These will also be listed on your Course Information Leaflet. Di erent fee structures apply for some courses, or for some students. Go to our websites for further information relating to: • the OTEN Student Materials and Handling Charge • apprentices and trainees (a capped annual fee applies) • the TAFE NSW Concession fee • exemptions from the TAFE NSW fee • temporary Visa Holders. Refunds Refund conditions vary according to the program in which you are enrolled. Go to our website for further information relating to: • refunds of the TAFE NSW fee • refunds of the WSI Plus fee • refunds in courses eligible for FEE-HELP student loans. FEE-HELP is a student loan program administered by the Commonwealth Government. It assists eligible, full fee paying students to pay all or part of the course fees in selected WSI Plus or other commercial vocational qualifications of Diploma level and above. You repay your debt through the tax system once you reach the minimum income threshold. Courses eligible for FEE-HELP at the time of printing are clearly marked in this Guide but new courses are added regularly, so check with your local college. Call 131 870 or go to our website. Fees and charges TAFE NSW -- Western Sydney Institute -- Course and Career Guide 2013 TAFE NSW provides a means of assessing and recognising your previous learning and experience to help you avoid studying what you already know. In this way you can complete your studies faster. There is no limit to the amount of credit that may be granted in a TAFE NSW qualification. Credit is based on the following principles: • all students in TAFE NSW are entitled to apply for the appropriate credit service(s) for the course in which they are enrolled • students should not have to repeat learning where they can demonstrate that they have the required skills and knowledge • the purpose of credit is to facilitate and encourage obtaining relevant qualifications and skills.
